	CYCLISTS' TOURING CLUB Northern Ireland District Association Special Events 2003 - 2004

These are a mix of social events, guesthouse based tours and rides, more arduous than our normal Sunday rides. Tourist trials follow a predetermined route in a given time. You would expect to be accompanied by our faster Sunday riders and a number visiting entrants. Dates and destinations may vary. Additional events may be listed in our cycling programme.

Sunday 8^th August	100 Miles in 8 Hours
Saturday 14^th August	Round the Lough
Sunday 22^nd August	Barbecue
Saturday - Sunday 4^th-12^th September	September Tour
Sunday 19^th September	50 Miles in 4 Hours - Ards Circuit
Saturday 25^th September	Down with Teashops
Saturday - Sunday 30^th-31^st October	Halloween Hostel Weekend

Please note:-

All riders are required to observe our Code of Riding Conduct, obey all traffic regulations and show consideration to other road users
If you find yourself in a large group, causing traffic congestion, please open up a gap to allow motorists to overtake easily.
Saddle bags and full mudguards are part of the 'tourist' character of the events. (after all, why make it too easy:-)
Please remember the faster events are not races and that all cyclists finishing within the allotted time are equally successful.
